I can actually explain the mongoose glitch if anyone wants to know. There's a glitch in forge where you place an object in the air (or at an angle where it would fall) using "phased" or "fixed" placing and then changing the placing option to "fixed" without interacting with the object otherwise. This causes the object to float in the air until a player gets too close. The game must have glitched in the same way cuz the mongoose dropped once Gus touched it, which about the required distance.
