Hey, guess what was at PAX East... Rise of the Tride brought back to life in the Unreal 3 engine. Would this make the first Retroactive to see something happen with the game in question?
Ah, the memories of breaking into the computer labs at boarding school in the middle of the night just to play RotT over LAN (and download porn - we WERE teenagers in an all-boys boarding school after all).
I think there should be port of Arma2 to the xbox 360, mainly becuase of the DayZ mod, there aren't much if not any games that are of that genre, and are that realistic. I would definitely buy it if it came out on a console, because it requires less hassle from numerous pc gaming software.
MrTrelawney- Thanks but I actually figured it out like a few hours later, I believe it's called 'The Dig', a point and click about three astronauts who get pulled into an alien world. Gods I haven't seen that one in forever! I can't believe that I recognized one of those opening scenes. Fragger please tell me you are going to play that next! Please!!!!
I love Retro-Active, Its really awesome to see these old games in action after so long. This one I actually played when I was a kid and one thing not shown in the video here is that if you shoot the enemies but not quite kill them they fall to their knees and beg you not to kill them which blew me away back then. Naturally if you don't kill them they get back up and start shooting you again. Hmm... Did Skyrim take a page from Rise of the Triad?
Oh, wow. I remember getting the demo on... Duke Nukem 3D? One of the coolest parts was that it was aware of your calendar, so on Christmas, the menu screen had snow and santa hats. This really needs a reboot.
Crap! What was that game that was featured in the intro? The one with the astronauts? I swear I've played that a really long time ago but I can't remember what the heck it was called.
Man, is it me or do Wolfenstein and Doom (the original) seem identical with a few things tweaked. Lol, this game is pretty interesting. Pshh, dog mode. COD needs that. No soldier would suspect a dog, then you'd sneak up behind them and bite them in the ass. Oh boy, been listening to too much of Michael rant about stupid shit.
if you want a game that doesn't take itself seriously, try Timesplitters: Future Perfect. or any other from that series. no joke this game has the most devoted cult following ever. and had the original forge mode ^_^
I had totally forgotten about this game :) Now that I think about it, might be one of the first I played (props to my dad for introducing me to games!)
