Some states, it is law that you have to release your name if you win the lottery. National winnings are normally that case. That's why when someone win's the big one, you always know.

Shit, the cheapest houses in Austin are only $550k? I should move to Austin then considering a small house in the DC area will set you back $750k.

Call me lame but If I had well over half a billion dollars I would travel to hospitals that do intense surgeries and pay for the outrageous cost in order to keep a family out of debt. I would attend the most critical first even if they had low chances and work my way outward. Probably keep 5 mil for myself since I  don't really need super-deluxe-premium whatever....okay maybe some tech.

I've always said that if I ever won the lottery, the first thing I'd buy is a new house and truck for my mom. Well, the truck would come first. She's about to have to sell her truck and it makes her very sad. So, I'd buy her the truck of her dreams.

Is it sad that for the lottery question that my genuine answer would be put it in a savings account and live off the interest? Bc like....let's say i win 5 mil and put that in a 5% ap savings acct im making a cool 250k pa without doing shit. I never have to work a day in my dang life

It might be sad, but I'd do the same. I mean, you always hear about people who win the lottery and end up with less money than before they won. Just makes sense to be responsible with it.

though that is 5 mil. you win like 750 mil. Half goes to taxes(lets just assume the worst), then half of that(.25) goes into savings to live off of, and then you got like 100 mil to go bananas.

Aww 550k is expensive in Austin? How cute. The East Coast is calling and shoving these million dollar broom closets in your face. Texas and expensive should never be uttered in the same sentence.

I'm surprised Jeremy doesn't know this

Can confirm, most houses in the DC area go for a minimum of $750k.

Let me clear something up. Living in Austin Texas is along term goal of mine for the cost of living alone. Lots of tech companies that I can work in as well. So this is more like an expression of jealousy on my part rather than an insult.

As someone who is currently perusing housing prices in the Boston area, let me assure you that any house that is not out in the boonies will cost a shit ton more than a minor mansion in Austin. And as Austin is probably the one of the most expensive parts of Texas, it just gets even cheaper to buy homes everywhere else. Plus no state tax? That's an extra 4000 dollars I could have made last year.

Just in case anyone was wondering, $1,000,000 would get you 5,400,308.59 bottles of water and that's 713,009.49 gallons of water. Assuming it's 75 degrees Fahrenheit in Austin (like it was today), it would take the equivalence of running 8,654.5 houses a day to boil all that water. You're rich Jeremy but not that rich.
Disclosure: I did this at 2:30 at night

doing the television interviews and media stuff is part of the fulfillment agreement on the back of the ticket that you have to do in *most* states in order to claim the prize.

First the lawyer. Yes but I would pay off all of my older brother's school debt, help him get his Doctors degree if he'd like, be secure in knowing my younger brother's college fund is complete with excess just in case, pay off any remaining debt that my father has, as well as pay off the mortgage on my childhood home...

If I have left over well.. I'll get a small house for my husband and I xD and maybe travel with him. That's really all I want as a person. I find it much more satisfying to help others and get them going than buying these material things for myself... but I'd spoil myself once in a while xD; :)

I'd build an indoor remote control competitave arena geared for ALL RC machine competitions. Flight, Marine, Road, Rough terrain, Battle maps. Mazes, Acrobatic installations.

An Olpmpic stadium for RC machines. I'd commission LEGO for archetecture, and Lucasfilm for Tech Effects. RoosterTeeth for coverage, and one (voted best) local food/drink buisness, from every state for refreshments.

...then sit back and shit myself at the awsomeness before me.
