To anyone who can see this plz read the following

I know what happened to Florida

Go back to season 10 finale

"People will wonder what happened to Florida"

    "Leave that to me"

Look in the background and you will see Florida on the map being erased

I still do not get why Tucker's being played up as the Reds' and Blues' best. I mean, he ain't bad, I ain't sayin' that. But I feel that he's getting undue credit in the show.

Aside from that, good shit as always. It's Red Vs. Blue, what, did you expect poor quality? Come on.

    • WolfWhiteFire

Well he did manage to hold out for who knows how long against those people who attacked the temple alone when they managed to kill everyone else, then held them all off until the Reds and Blues could get inside. Also, it is pretty reasonable since him being the Reds' and Blues' best doesn't mean he is good, the joke of the series is that they are actually pretty bad, and all he would have to be is the least bad.

    • Mungii

      In response to WolfWhiteFire,

I'd first of all like to say thank you for not doing what I'd expect someone to do: jump at me viciously (it's just what I've gotten used to with people on the web). You also reminded me of something I forgot (holding off at the temple). I mean, I'm not doubting that he's at least competent (nor is the joke beyond me), but I always feel that it's undue, as from what I've noted, anyone on the Red Team has done better militarily (barring Grif and probably one or two others)

Now, hear me out. All I mean to say is that I feel they kinda built him up a bit too much from what I've seen. Besides, in the Warthog alone, the Red Team has shown to be a devastating force indeed. On foot, they were mostly responsible for the Meta's death. As for leadership, got me there. Tucker's got it good there, I suppose. But back on that built up too much note, what I mean to say is that the characters seem to recognize him and look up to him all the time despite him not actually having been shown to be much better.

I mean, like I said, I get the joke. I just like to analyze and question things, and it's been bugging me for a while.

      Ah geez, wall of text.

TL;DR - I get what you're saying, but from what I've seen, all I mean to say is that he seems just a bit overhyped in the universe, and I can't help but wonder why.

PS - It is a funny little point you made. "Who will lead us? Let's see, we all suck. Who sucks the least?" And sorry if I came off a bit... overanalytical or overly defensive or whatever with this.

Mungii, I agree, he is good in leadership, however if hes lacking in anything, it is definitely combat. There are people who are stronger in the Reds and Blues, such as Caboose. Another one is Donut, he seems to survive EVERYTHING, literally. Or even Lopez, who managed to create a fucking army, although they did get destroyed and all, he managed that in little to no time.

    Awesome!

maybe in the next season they will be working at some base on Earth, that would be so awesome

and if they had to think like idiots to know how to beat them, then they should try thinking weird cause half the time I think weird so they should try it sometime they might have more fun.

still think that Vic needs a A.I. girlfriend. oh and if Tucker and Grif ain't careful they are going to get ship by some fan girls....cause that moment was just too sweet and cute.

The first 10 seconds of this is almost exactly like one of Sarge's Trailers. Especially if you play then pause after it switches focus from character's to character's face shot and one liner while gun shots ring in the background. The pausing gives it a feeling of time passing and each scene being broken up instead of together giving it the feels of a trailer and a Sarge one at that!

I bet that the Vic AI will form a fragment then fully change into church at some point. That would be awesome and about the only way that I can think of to save him, other than genius caboose making some machine to bring him back or travel in time something crazy that just works because he feels bad about what he did to good with animals and AI caboose. Also the return of the Reds and Blues "Gods be damned..." made me buckle over. I have missed them so!

I can think of another way to save him that makes more sense. If the time travel portion where he made a ton of copies of himself really happened to any extent, which is likely since the show showed Wyoming making tons of copies of himself by looping over and over again, then there are plenty of Alpha-Churches out there, and even if most of them died somehow, at least one is probably still alive.

The only thing RvB has in connection to Halo is the fact that they use Halo games to make it, and therefore use aspects from it. Other than that, RvB is completely separate from Halo.

Guys, seriously. Not the same thing. If they were, the aliens would be called Elites/Sangheili and they'd be speaking like humans, not saying blarg honk. There are no Spartans in RvB. The armor is just space armor with special features, not 700+ lb casing. Blood Gulch and Coagulation would be acknowledged as 2 separate places, and the original Blood Gulch would have been destroyed had it been on a Halo ring if the RedvsBlueniverse was the same as the Haloverse. Which it clearly isn't and RT has even stated it. I don't know why people on this website can't seem to get that, I thought they'd know better. I'm not the noob here.

Master Chief gets mentioned in literally the first episode. He is, therefore, in the RVB canon.

Bu they are still connected.  UNSC, Covenant, the references to Master Chief in Episode 1 of Season 1, etc.

    • Mr_LRB

@RedRoseBlue Well, judging by the first episode, we can conclude that even if Halo and Red vs. Blue are not canon to each other, the RvB universe at least has their own versions of Master Chief and the Covenant. (We also know that versions of the Blood Gulch Crew exist in the main Halo universe through various Easter Eggs throughout the games, particularly Halo 4's Spartan Ops.) Also, I don't remember ever hearing anything about someone at RT declaring the two series noncanonical.

    • RedRoseBlue

@Mr_LRB Look, if y'all wanna say they're the same, I don't fucking care. But RT has to keep them separate as much as possible. I think Microsoft asked them too.

Also I wanted to add to the people saying that Master Chief was mentioned in the VERY FIRST episode? You mean back when RvB had NO story and the characters were not established yet? The ONE time Chief was mentioned was back when the barely formed RT was just dicking around with Halo to see if they could make a movie with it. He and the Covenant were never mentioned after episode Numero Uno.

I'm just saying, people shouldn't claim RvB is Halo fanfiction or that the BGC are going to ever meet Master Chief, because it's not and they won't.

So many people saying that this season is a bit off and I'm in two minds about it.

Ironically, it could be intentional. Grif said in the last episode that without him, the guys would fall apart - which they have done so.

Sarge couldn't direct his inner turmoil at Grif in the form of an insult so he spiralled further into a state of depression that made him join the Blues and Reds just to have an enemy.

Tucker has been rushing into situations without thinking first, probably because Grif wasn't there to complain and make him second guess his rash decisions and come up with a better plan.

Simmons hasn't had his other half with him and has to deal with his own reflection.

But yes, it has felt very forced this season - considering it's from the mind of the guy who did Brick Gulch Chronicles, I'm not surprised. That episode was pretty funny and it was cool to see them in Mega Bloks form, but that's it - the episode was all comedy. Every bit of dramatic tension in this season has been interrupted by a joke.

Locus telling a story of hundreds of men, women and children dying and doesn't answer whether he knew them or not - interrupted by Wash doing his hallucination gag.

Sarge trying to apologise for his actions and actually admit that he needs to come to terms with the fact that he shouldn't need an enemy to fight - just throw a Caboose joke in about farting.

Not to mention that they ruined the trope of fake reveals by doing it multiple times in this season - mysterious, menacing guy following the reporters with a voice like Megatron turns out to be a lawyer with a funny name.

The Blues and Reds turn out to be misunderstood good guys but then might be bad and then are really revealed to be bad guys who are bad because Project Freelancer did a thing and somehow impaled a guy wearing metal freaking armour with a WOODEN STICK.

You could say that, after the Chorus Trilogy and being hyped up for an extra year, it fell victim to over-hype, but it just doesn't seem that way. This season did have some pretty cool moments too, like Locus coming back and the fact that Red Team finally got some good(ish) story arcs, as opposed to the one off episodes they've had in the past; Sarge learnt that he needed to let go of war and fighting as the thing that his life revolves around every second, Grif bucked up and decided to help out because he does enjoy hanging out with people etc. Plus the facts that Charon took the helmet that Carolina "tested" and used it for their female Space Pirates and we got an adequate reason for how all of the Reds Blues, with their varying personalities, came to be at Blood Gulch.

But honestly, this season feels like it's trying to rehash a storyline that's been run into the ground - Project Freelancer is the "reason" behind the bad guys being bad, the Reds and Blues have to stop them and Wash and Carolina have to deal with the fact that they inadvertently caused this. At least with the Chorus Trilogy they seemed to be moving away from that, with Charon being the main enemy, the badass opposites to Wash and Carolina were mercenaries and Project Freelancer technology was barely used - the upgraded versions were made by Charon FROM Freelancer and only Carolina used the Freelancer versions. Even then it can't seem to decide whether a scene is supposed to be tense and emotional or comedic.

But either way, I'll wait and see what the finale is like before I fully judge things. I hope they can bring it back up; this show has been going for so long and I don't want to see it fall just because it stumbles once or twice.

I gotta say, the thing that really hit me about this episode was Caboose's reaction to Wash getting shot:
    "YOU. HURT. MY. FRIEND."
Notice that that wasn't in his O'Malley voice - it was his normal speech. This isn't Caboose descending into a mindless AI induced rage. This is a completely sober and aware Caboose, who's pissed as all hell that the Blues and Reds hurt Wash.

There's just something really awkward about this season that I can't quite put my finger on and it somehow manages to be a little bit of everything. The story, pacing, animation, and character development all feel hastily done or lacking in some way that I just don't know how to describe. The writers of this season need to really look back at the formulas that made RvB successful and apply them to their writing if they're gonna end up doing another season.

I have to agree. I was enjoying this season well enough so far, but it didn't really give me the same feelings previous seasons have. There have been really good highlights (Griff's episode is excellent), but for the most part it just feels flat. This episode in particular, to me, feels like everyone phoned it in. The situation regarding Wash was intense but it didn't feel intense. Sarge doing his thing was played off as something interesting and funny but it really wasn't.

Yeah, I agree. It's weird, there's no single issue, it just feels.... off. I'm still enjoying it, and holy hell the first half was brilliantly done. Also, there have been some phenomenal moments in the recent episodes. But overall it just doesn't quite feel right.

I'll agree that this season hasn't been among the top seasons of RvB but you also have to remember that this is a freshman effort. This isn't a season done by Burnie or Miles, this is someone new, and there are always growing pains, especially when you jump into a series that has been around for 14 years. It's not like Miles didn't have growing pains when he took over as show runner (and I loved the Chorus Trilogy). So whether or not the current guy will stick around for Season 16 or we'll get someone new (or someone returning) Season 15 hasn't been a bad ride. It's been funny when it needs to be, with some decent jokes, dramatic when it needs to be (though not always), and I'm looking forward to seeing how this season wraps up.

I wonder how relevant Caboos's comment on "tie their shoe laces together so they can't escape!" will be in the end.

Reminds me of Kimballs speech in S13. Good stuff, Joe.

I like the detail of spots of light on the Moon, showing lunar colonies and cities. Also, it's great to see that humans have somewhat countered the effects of climate change by the year 2558, since (most) coastlines are pretty much the same as today. Maybe the state of Florida was a sacrificial goat for the rest of the planet...

Well Caboose did grow up on the Moon, so it would make since for there to be colonies

@DoubleJ007 I know, but I wonder what kind of story the government in charge (probably the UN) gave to the people of the US for the obliteration of an entire state...

Should have crossfaded when the ship left. It looked like it left before they loaded Wash into it.

Or a 3 second shot zooming out from the Reds and Blues as they watch Wash being carried to the ship. It doesn't even have to be live; it can be a static image...

Wash better not end up as a mute, i want more of "this is the worst *insert incident* ever, of all time". Plus he's just a cool guy.

Actually, it would make sense in some way: he will "replace" Maine. Our goofy Wash comes back as an furious killing machine wanting revenge. And he's mute, so he lets his gun do the talking. But I'm sure it's too obvious to be a real event in the series.

At this point I am just hoping the Reds and Blues don't have a seemingly happy ending only for Locus to come in and say Wash is dead

@Demetrion i can't see Wash going back to being that angry/aggressive. After all that character development i just can't see him becoming Maine 2.0. If anyone's going to be the new Maine 2.0 it's going to be Locus as he figures out his road to redemption. Don't get me wrong, he's probably going to avenge his fellow Freelancers but not as an angry mute.
