The chalkboard at 0:28 is great. I know Jordan usually throws in some references to other RTAAs or events that happened but I loved the Breadsticks vs. Cheddar Biscuits debate team.

I just wanted to say I was trying to introduce this girl I'm dating to Roosterteeth. RTAA is always my starting point for introducing people to this company, and after trying to find the right video to show her, I ended up deciding to watch every episode again just for my own fun.

The last two days have been full of laughs. Thanks Jordan, and the whole animation department.

    Wikipedia:

"Shortly after beginning her duties, Reveille was stolen by a group of University of Texas students led by Neil Andrew Sheffield. For almost a week, Texas A&M denied that the mascot had been stolen. After the school finally acknowledged her disappearance and released a statement that they were planning to press felony charges against whoever took her, Reveille was tied to a sign post near Lake Travis and an anonymous caller informed the police of her location. She was returned unharmed to Texas A&M and resumed her duties."

Most interesting indeed, also Burnie had a friend called Sheffield. Were his other friends Fine, Niles and Babcock?

Speaking as a Texas A&M Freshman cadet I don't have to do anything to the dog. But E-2 (the mascot company) freshman aren't allowed to even know she exists, like they have to face the wall whenever she comes through and they can't mention anything about her. We like to give shit about that

I live in College Station, and I can say they are borderline obsessed with protecting that dog. One guy has taken a hit from a football player that was running out of bounds because he was on a collision course with Reveille. To be honest, wouldn't be surprised if some would take a bullet or, with the new open carry coming out, shoot any that would threaten her.

Also: "In fact, freshman members of the Corps of Cadets are not allowed to speak the word "dog."They must greet her with "Howdy, Miss Reveille, ma'am."

And: Reveille VI vanished Sunday morning. About 2:30 p.m., an anonymous caller telephoned the Dallas Morning News and claimed to be a UT-Austin student. He said one person grabbed the dog out of the Livelys' back yard.

"It was easier than hell," the caller said. -Accurate Burnie friend quote.

here's a news article from 1993 when it intially happened~

Apparently the dog was kidnapped from her handler's home when she was a puppy. So, she hadn't even gone to replace the previous dog yet.

I like how Gavin's solution to this conundrum was to bury a perfectly healthy and well behaved dog. Not to return her or even leave her at the pound anonymously, but to bury her alive. It's amazing how his brain works.

I think that they actually mention it in the podcast...I may be talking out of my ass here but I wanna say the guard pretty much got shit on so hard he left school. I dont remember exactly but I wanna say it was something like that.

See, if this were a movie, the finale would be that those three guys contact the guard instead of the radio and let him collect the dog so he can be a hero.

"Cpl. Jim Lively, the sophomore Corps of Cadets member responsible for the puppy" says if she gets stolen "I really don't like to think about that. I'd probably end up in something like a witness protection program."

"we're pressing felony charges." Fuck you Texas A&M that seems like bit of an over reaction don't you think.

    • agirlnamedtex FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold

To be fair, they may have just *said* that to scare the people into turning her in (which worked). But I do know that A&M does take their traditions very seriously. And she probably was expensive. But a felony does seem a bit excessive when it was just a joke. It's not like they were planning to hurt her...
