Zoloft is definitely addictive. When I stopped it a few years back to switch to a different med, I had withdrawal and it interacted with the new stuff to give me serotonin syndrome. When I used to forget to take it, the withdrawal would make me very sick.

Though the drawings of scary shit that allegedly goes down in North Korea is scary, I agree with Burnie that the FAKENESS of everything is worse. It's hard to explain, but it kind of makes me feel like I'd be trapped in a game (and like not even a video game... some weird ass board game or role playing game) where nothing ACTUALLY exists, but you're expected to live normally... but without the resources REQUIRED to live. It's bloody 1am rn, and I fucking know I'm gonna have some fucked up dreams tonight

Just a thought on the whole Harambe thing. I think it escalated once that basketball player got his dick out and said he was giving awareness to Harambe. I think the basketball player saying this was also covered on The Know, which may have been the first time I'd heard of it.

Burnie I think what you're talking about with the feeling of your panic attacks is derealization (a type of dissociation). I have the exact same thing and it started in a similar way during a month where there was too much going on at school along with a bad breakup, and everything just felt off distance-wise. I still have the problem to smaller extent everyday since my first time though, which sucks. Turns out I have dissociation co-morbid with my anxiety.... and I have an anxiety disorder, so its LIT

That feeling that Gavin tried to describe -- feeling detached and like things aren't really real -- is called dissociation, and it's a very common feeling, but can be a symptom of dissociative disorders.

Barbara gets her Green card yet still wear's plaid like a Yukon Lumber Jack. Cnd's Represent!!! You don't have to renounce your Canadian or British Citizenship (or any), it's just with the United States, which is similar to Russia in that, it doesn't matter if have you citizenship somewhere else- YOU ARE A U.S Citizen, and as such will not accept anything else if you come to the border and they see you're a citizen. Though many people hold duel citizenship's and are American citizens, the U.S will only recognize one. As a Canadian with my Father being a British Citizen I could apply for "duel citizenship" which is great if I want to work in the UK, the problem would lie in that I can't leave Canada on a UK Passport and come back on a Canadian passport without likely being questioned and getting a finger waved at me. Although being Canadian and also a "Status Indian"- with the later coming into the United States, I don't have to worry about work visa's and all of that :P

By default, they let you keep using the old Xbox voice commands. You had to explicitly enable "Hey Cortana" and they give you multiple chances to back out, so I don't understand what Gavin is fussing about. I guess he doesn't read dialog boxes and just agrees to everything (or Meg did it!).

What Gavin and Burnie are talking about at the beginning is called Depersonalisation or Derealisation and it is the brain's response to danger, trauma or high stress/active situations. It is a way of removing yourself from the reality of a situation in order to process the environment or specific trigger at hand instead of being flooded by stimuli which would result in a panic attack. If you become aware of these feelings whilst they are happening, the idea of your detachment can cause massive anxiety and lead to the panic attack your brain was trying to prevent to begin with.

I have a mental illness called Depersonalisation/Derealisation Disorder which means the brain uses these mechanisms more frequently and with out triggers. I would say 50% of my life is lived this way, feeling completely detached from reality to the point where I do not recognise my reflection and my voice whilst speaking and often become extremely confused and disinterested at the concept of reality and life itself, which is an abyss of hopelessness. Due to this it means I do not form attachments to most things, including people (family too), jobs, romantic relationships or maintain interests in subjects or goals.

One thing I have always maintained an interest in is Rooster Teeth, they have always been there to distract me or cheer me up and keep me grounded even whilst leaving job after job, friend after friend and goal after goal. Hearing people, I probably sometimes could not live without, talk about their experiences with problems I face everyday shows me that I'm not alone and brings me closer to reality and makes me feel closer to human again.

TLDR: I apologise for my wall of text but I really just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Rooster Teeth for being there for me over the past 5 years and now, with their help and some therapy, i'm on a path to recovery. I hope their experiences and maybe even this comment could help someone going through something similar feel a little bit better or just not so alone. :') THANK YOU!

About what Barbara said about her not liking the animation on the corner of someone getting a donation on Twitch, saying that it takes away from the game, but either way the streamer has to stop and thank them. Doesn't that also takes away from the game? because they have to pause from commentating to thank them. So either way, if it's on screen or the streamer saying not matter what it takes away from the game so I don't know why it bothers her so much.

But it could be just me, being apart of the twitch culture and just defending it.

    • SomberOwl

@Bassoonist @SomberOwl Currently the U.S does Not prohibit dual (or multiple for that matter) citizenship.

A U.S. national may acquire foreign nationality by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. national may not lose the nationality of the country of birth. U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one nationality or another. Also, a person who is automatically granted another nationality does not risk losing U.S. nationality.
