Seems there are a lot of educational facilities that have something to do with prisons, Also as far as tattoos go, there's a story of a US Marine corporal posted in China getting drunk with an obnoxious British Sergant Major who got more drunk than him and ended up having the American flag tattooed onto his chest, definately a no-getting another nation's flag tattoo

Been a looong time since I've seen Donnie D, but reading the synopsis online it seemed pretty good- plus, the bunny dude freaks me the fuck out.

And, V for Vendetta will always be one of my favorite movies, I love RvB too, does that mean RvB sucks? I sure hope not.

Thanks for the Amazon plug Mr. Burns. My wife works for Brilliance Audio which is owned by Amazon and she got a lot of amazon stock when she was hired, so thanks for the stock bump. I will talk her in to buying some DVDs. Also Amazon prime is the shit, we didn't buy a single Christmas present in a store last year. It also helps that she gets a discount on anything sold by Amazon.

Why the Darko bashing? Just because Southland Tales and The Box weren't well recieved doesn't mean you can retroactively slag off Kelly's only decent film. Like Lost is so fkn great?
And V For Vendetta may have taken some creative liberties, but it was at least entertaining (which is more than can be said for the ultra-tedious Watchmen movie)
So, what's the 3rd film in the 'trifecta'? Any guesses? I really hope it's one I have!

"Don't be so MAYO!" is probably a play on "Don't be so GAY!" or "Don't be so GAY yo!" That seems like the only thing that really makes sense. Shame on you Skate 3. Shame on you.

Also Alan Wake looks like Corey Feldman to me.

To be honest, I also keep my badges for all the conventions I attend (I'm nerdy that way). I'm very sentimental and have some memories of those convetnions, so it's nice to go back and remember. I can see why Jack would get upset if they were stolen (even though, according to him, he's not).

I knew I shouldn't have bought all the RvB DVDs as soon as they came out and should have just waited for the box set. The special features sound hilarious. I really should go see you guys at the Orlando convention center if CC decides to move. Or PAX, one of the two.

I think it's like how people go on Yahoo Answers to ask questions about pertinent RoosterTeeth questions and come on the site to ask the staff about making a decision. And I thought the exact same thing as Burnie as soon as I heard "box".
We don't get hail in Hawaii, but the local news still did a piece on the hailstorm in Oklahoma.

I hate to be the guy who points this out, but on multiple occasions I have noticed you guys are misinformed as to when the Star Wars original Trilogy was released. A New Hope: 1977. The Empire Strikes Back: 1980. Return of the Jedi: 1983. Sorry to nitpick but I feel like as fellow Star Wars fanboys you guys should get the info straight.

    Digital cable problems:

Digital cable requires RG6 coax cable, this includes replacing the lines coming from the street.

I just started having signal interuptions and loss of VOD access. Rogers Cable (CA) came to the house to check it out. They put a booster on the incoming line temporarily and we're now just waiting for them to rewire the line from the street. The lines in the house we have to replace as well.

    In reply to dragonmanweb, #76:

Because some of the scenes in the director's cut were unfinished or only had rough filming, so, in the theater they look like less than appealing combined with scenes that had been properly filmed. They attempted to cover some of that up by pasting those odd transparent screens of numbers over them (do forgive, it has been a long, long time since I have seen the director's cut), but it just made them stick out more and look odder. Either way, the director's cut is an unfinished product whereas the original cut, though it did not include all of the scenes the director had intended, was a finished product film wise.

I actually prefer the original cut to the director's cut because I do not think the director's cut added anything but time and a few unneeded special effects to the movie. While it is an odd movie, it is a wonderful background film for studying that does not require close attention.

I kinda took offense to the whole Donnie Darko thing, but then I realized that the version most people see is actually pretty shitty. The director's cut actually explains a lot more and goes into more detail. It is, essentially, a version of the film that makes sense. Why they cut all that stuff out I have no idea.

I believe that Mayo is an egg-white based salad dressing while Miracle Whip does not use egg whites and more vinegar. The ad campaign "Don't be so Mayo" is an attempt by them to say they are different from Mayo.

Other shocking product placement has been in 'Bones' recently that really pissed me off.

In one episode one of the characters says says something stupid like:
X "I never expected you to drive an mpv"
Y "Of course, I'm an artist so I love my Toyota [someshit] because it has so much room to take my art stuff around in"

In another one they reference a different car because it has a reverse parking camera where another character said "Its so handy because my parking is terrible" or some crap to that effect.

I'm surpsed they didn't look straight down the camera and say "ask you nearest dealer about it and tell them I sent you" *cheesy grin*

By the way, the Latin on Bungie Aerospace's website "Per Audacia Ad Astra" means "Through audacity to the stars".

Pretty simple Latin, actually. But more importantly, one of the more famous Latin sayings of yore.

    1. Driving from Austin to El Paso is hell. I've done it at least 5 times now (back and forth). Half during the summer and the other half during winter. Did you know it is f**cking cold in the desert during the winter? The last time I went, our heater was broken. My family in El Paso wonder why I don't like visiting them. An eight hour drive is the reason WHY (also, I hate El Paso). I will go insane if I have to do that again.

    2. I think it sad to have convention badges stolen! It turns out those get stolen a lot. My ex had his stolen after the sci-fi expo had closed. We don't know why anyone would need it but they took it! I have all of mine from the few sci-fi and comic expos I've worked at. Now that I think of it though, they are slightly hidden. They're right between my bed post and my bookshelf. I still adore them. I have fond memories.

    3. You guys should really just put up a map or a huge list of all the restaurants you like. I love sounding like I know where I'm going in Austin despite still getting lost 75% of the time. Actually, that number is totally made-up. I don't actually count how many times I get lost. I love getting lost in Austin. I find the most random places. It's how I found my job!

Don't be so Mayo, is the tagline of Miracle Whip's advertisements. It's to reference being bland. Miracle whip has "zing" and they are saying to use any other sandwich spread is bland or mayo.
