Although I am definitely late to the discussion:
The school here in Portland that you (Bernie) are probably thinking of is the Kennedy School where my grandmother actually went to elementary school. It was bought by McMenamins, who maintain the historic elementary school built in 1915. They have done this (convert to bars/taverns/hotel) with quite a few historic structures here in the Portland area, and though the structures are not used for their original purpose, it is a way to preserve these historic landmarks.

Kellogg invented Corn Flakes because he couldn't figure out how to market pre popped popcorn which people used to eat with milk in sugar for breakfast. Reverend Sylvester Graham started the bland food movement and his invention was the "Graham" Cracker which tastes nothing like Graham Crackers we eat today.

Anybody know where I can get the outro of Burnie singing the halo theme? It would be a great ringtone.

I loved Burnie's impressions. Great podcast as always, shame I didn't have the opportunity to watch it earlier. On the bright side, this way I can watch two new podcasts almost in a row.

at 22.08 I feel Gus, every week if I forget to shave hair grows back in there. I have to shave sideburns, neck, upper lip and always just beneath the lower eyelid.

Actually, Gavin's insensitive cheek spot is probably not a big deal. It might be just a single nerve thing that's died or something.

I agree with Burnie, some British actors have very odd American accents: that even sound odd to an Englisher like me. Ewan McGregor and Ewen Bremner in 'Black Hawk Down' are classic examples. (But still one of my favourite movies)

Burnie's impressions are hilarious! and as a Brit myself your accent sounded so convincing, Gavin's accent is a lie and he tones it down haha

It was a joke! I was saying that everyone talks like Burnie in Britain. Gavin has just a standard British accent I know haha. The fact I had to explain the joke has pretty much killed it lol, To be honest I wrote the comment pretty tired so it doesn't make much sense to begin with.

I understand what Burnie was trying to say. People in groups are naturally scared of anything outside their group, or from people that are different from them. One way that manifests itself is racism. But, being smart, we don't have to attack everyone outside our group. I kept thinking of wolves, which will attack other packs of wolves.

Not to start shit, but more of as an explanation: racism essentially became a thing during the European Imperialist period of the 17th century forward. It was invented as a way of convincing the populations of European countries to go colonize Africa, and then was extended to African slavery and the elimination of native people in the Americas. Before then, the prejudice of choice was based on religion and nation of origin as opposed to skin color. What Gavin probably meant was eliminating prejudice, not racism, since it didn't exist until his country pushed for it during the colonial/imperialist period. There's never been a scientific basis for "races" anyways* and I think you'll find that modern "racism" is actually prejudice against certain socio-economic cultures, because both African- and European-Americans who dress as "gangstas" get shit, and white trash is treated worse than any other "color" of trash in the US (and chavs for the UK). Also, prejudice against Muslims and Jews is religious prejudice, not racism. It still sucks, it's just a different concept.

That's your history lesson for the day, back to your regularly scheduled podcasts.

*The genes that determine the amount of melanin and other chemicals in your skin, which determines skin tone, and can be affected by your climate and latitude, do not control your personality, speech patterns, intelligence, muscle structure (for anyone who really believes that all Kenyans run fast and white men can't jump) or any other aspect of what makes you you. Skin tone is entirely unrelated to any other inborn trait. Science, bitch!

I DARE Rooster Teeth to do a completely drunk podcast. Pre-Drinks followed by more drinks during the podcast. I'd love to see Beerbra Drunkelman, Drunk Bernie and everyone else just completely smashed talking sh*t like they usually do.

When they get to the racism talk, I know what would happen if Gavin would try to stop the first racist remark.
Gavin might stop the first racism incident, but it'll happen again very soon.

It's human nature to discriminate. Other countries were discriminate to their neighboring countries before they meet distant countries who were discriminate to their neighboring countries.
For example, Asian areas were discriminate to other Asian areas, and North American areas were discriminate to other North American areas WAY BEFORE Asia and N.A. people even met.
