First off, this is not a cry for help. This was me trying to be a responsible adult. Funerals are expensive and are extremly over priced. Adam Ruins Everything has a great episode on it, you can find it on YouTube pretty easily. I added the link
Now the first reason why I told them this was because I’m donating my body, as much as they can use for organ transplants and medical research and anthropology. So when I’m “done” there won’t be much left so I’m going to be placed in a bio urn/pod. The ones that grow into a tree. If not that cast my remains in cement and turn me into an artificial reef in keys.
They where pretty upset about it, because one they haven’t told us what they really want for there funeral. However my father is an attorney and has a will in place for them so we will here then. Now in terms of life insurance I’m covered through work and other programs. This is probably what really got me thinking about this, all my insurance changes that I had to make.
Hope this wasn’t to dark, life is unpredictable. There is only three things certain in this world; Death, Taxes, and Charlie Brown will never kick that football. I don’t want my family to worry if anything happens to me.
Side note it’s going on ten years since I joined the community, and I haven’t added many people in the past few years so the three of you who are actually reading this are probably in similar parts of your life as me. Settling in for the next 10-30 years of your life and then maybe retire. Honestly I don’t think I’m going to truly retire, I don’t think I want too
