Don't know if you're waiting on a response but I gave my home address since my school's mail center is pretty unreliable and I won't be home until friday night! So I'm sorry if I haven't posted anything about the card yet but I'm sure it's amazing and I can't wait to see it!

One year ago today, I stepped onto a plane and flew down to Austin for the 535 perk. That whole weekend was the best of my life. We filmed a scene for Lazer Team, making up the crowd and maybe doing a few things we shouldn't have (#fuckthebarrier). Barbara visited set during dinner and I got to take a picture and say hi. At one point during the shoot, I ended up next to Miles, Kerry, and Adam Ellis. I remember having a conversation about which pokemon would be the best to fuck (I believe they settled on lickitung), and multiple times Miles had to ask Kerry to adjust his butt pads (his costume was a bit of a pain). I met so many other fans there too, and all of them were nice. I had what might have been the stupidest conversation ever about a spider in a trash can who was sad because his web kept getting destroyed. It was hilarious. The next day, I got to tour the RT offices. Steffie was our tour guide and she was so great. I didn't think it was possible for one person to actually be that cool, but somehow she is. We got to take pictures on the podcast set (one girl got photobombed by Brandon) and were allowed to go into the prop room (so many memories in there! Immersion outfits, Pongo, etc.). Everyone there was super nice. Barbara made faces at us from her office, everyone who passed us said hi, it was amazing. The whole office was cool, too, and I kind of geek out every time they show part of it and I can say, "I was there! I went in that room!"

The point is, it was a great weekend. There isn't an adjective to describe how phenomenal it was. I can't believe it was a year ago already. It seems like just yesterday. I'm super excited for the movie to come out (I'll probably see it at least 5 times).

Before I end this, I just want to say that Chelsea is an amazing person. In the days leading up to the shoot I kept emailing her to make sure I had everything I needed (minor forms, the right location, etc. I was anxious ok.) She was always nice and never got annoyed. She responded quickly and gave me all the information I needed. She worked so hard getting everything coordinated and ready for all of us Infamous 535ers and I just want to thank her for all the work she put in to it.

Sorry for all the rambling, I just really enjoyed the whole experience and got a little emotional when I realized it had been exactly a year since it happened:)

So I know this forum isn't really used anymore, but I realized today that it's the one year anniversary of the day I got on a plane and flew down to Austin for the perk. Tomorrow marks the anniversary of what I consider to be the best day ever. I got to meet so many of you awesome people, and so many of the amazing RT Staff! In honor of that, I thought it would be cool if everyone posted their favorite memory from their trip to Austin, whether it was an experience on set (#fuckthebarrier), getting to tour the office, or even just time spent hanging out with other 535ers.

So. RT's 12th anniversary is today. In honor of that, I'm writing about what they mean to me. Sappy stuff ahead, so back out now if you don't want to read that. Also stuff about depression and things like that. This is your warning.

I'm one of the newer people in the RT fandom. I found them about a year and a half ago, right when things were getting worse for me. I'd been struggling with depression for a while before that, but I'd always had some sort of focus, a goal that I needed to live for. At that time, I didn't have one. I was trying to find a reason to stick around, and then I found it. It started on Tumblr (I know, I know. But it's not ALL bad.). There was a link to Rage Quit: The Impossible Game part 2. It was the best video I'd ever seen. I went on a marathon of Rage Quits. Michael Jones became my new favorite person that night. Then I found something else. Michael was part of a group of guys who played games all together, and they had this video called Let's Play Minecraft. Well, actually they had about 40 of them. But. Still. I caught up in about a week. Then I found GTA. And all the others, like the classic Surgeon Simulator and the Rainbow Six Vegas ones. Then it got better. Achievement Hunter, this pack of idiots, was part of a whole company of idiots. There was Red Vs. Blue. RWBY. Podcasts. There was so much content and suddenly I had my reason. I had to live because I had to see more of these videos.

The next summer, they announced that they were crowd funding a movie. By then, I'd spent so much money on RT merch that donating to their movie seemed the logical next step. I bought different perk levels (including the LootCrate which was awesome), but then they announced something else. Something special. A limited edition perk. One-of-a-kind. For only $5. I had to try for it. At 4:49 pm my time, it popped up. I had already gone to refresh the page again, and my reflexes have never been that fast. But I did it. I clicked it. I actually took the time to read it, to see if I would be able to do whatever it was. I asked my dad, and I could. I got the perk. But. So did everyone else. It seemed like everyone was commenting, tweeting, anything, about how they got the perk. Then Burnie became my favorite person when he said we could all go. All 535 of us were invited down to the set of Lazer Team. And there was my new reason. Adding on to my old one, this was a definite date that I had to stay here for. And of course, I have to see the movie. So I have to stay until Lazer Team is released. And I want to make it to at least one RTX and since I can't go this year...well you get the picture.

Rooster Teeth is there when I need a reason to keep going. It's there when I'm having an anxiety/panic attack and I need something to calm me down and make me focus on something else. The beautiful people at the company (and all of them are amazing. There's not one person I don't like.) are all there for me, even if they don't know it. And through them, I've discovered other people (like Tina Dayton) or channels that can make me happy when I didn't think it was possible. And it wasn't just the employees. The RT community is (in my opinion) the best community out there. Even though the YouTube comments are dumb, the real community is so amazing. They are supportive and kind. They can raise incredible amounts of money for good causes, whether it's an amazing movie or for the Extra Life stream. So thank you, Rooster Teeth. For your amazing content, employees, and community. And happy birthday.

Wow. Absolutely mental. I'm one of the 535 and I don't think I've ever been more happy. This is probably the best thing that's ever happened to me. So excited!! Thank you RT!

So I was one of the people to get the limited perk. It took me a while to type in my info so I probably won't be the winner. Best of luck to everyone! I'm just glad I at least got the confirmation email and a fun story out of it.
