Been cranking away at the between state of Rogue-lite runs over the past couple of days, and with today's work this is pretty much in a state where I'm comfortable with it until I feel like polishing it at a later date. With that done, I think next it's finally time to work on what happens when you die on a run along with all of the other things to go along with a game over state.
Outside of chipping away at Cursed Seasons in my spare time, I've happily been replaying Pokémon Silver on 3DS! I've been super stoked to return to this since it got announced for Virtual Console, Silver is easily one of the most formative games of my career. It's the first game where I admired both the sprites and the music, along with the overall setting itself and probably became the first game I got nostalgic for when the battery ran dry years later. I didn't actually get into doing pixel art until the GBA-era of games, but in some distant way Cursed Seasons might echo tiny hints of the game that kind of started it all for me.
