I didn't know why, but as soon as I heard the news, I felt like I was hit by a train. I've spent all day processing the fact that a man I looked up to and followed is gone. However I didn't understand why I felt like crying when I didn't truly know him until I started walking to class. My phone played the "I Burn" remix and I realized I felt connected to Monty through his work, and through the family that is the RT community. The song reminded me that he had burned bright and gold, a creative force to be reckoned with, and we got to see his light. I was fortunate enough to meet him and it was apparent that his work was his passion, and he was doing what he loved. And he will live on in the life he put into that work. We can remember him by appreciating what he did for us.
I also want to take a moment to appreciate how strong this RT community is, and how we have all drawn together to support him and his family, and now mourn him together as a group. We must continue that strength by supporting and loving one another, because it is a hard time for us all. Thank you to everyone who has offered words of comfort and support, I personally appreciate it and it's helped me get through today. I love each and every one of you <3.
My deepest condolences to Monty's friends, family, and coworkers. It's time for you to rest easy Monty, but we won't say goodbye. "If you don't say goodbye, then you aren't really gone; you just aren't here right now." -Agent Carolina, Red vs Blue.

Hey everyone! I'm Matt Belanger, a student at Oklahoma State and RT fan. I've decided to try and start up a community group for Oklahoma called RTOK. If you're from Oklahoma or the surrounding states and want to meet fellow fans, please comment or watch this thread to see what's going one. We can organize meet ups and game nights, livestream movies or whatever y'all want.
This is hopefully just going to be a bunch of fans getting to know each other and having fun. If you're interested in organizing events with me, please send me a message and we can collaborate. I won't be available all the time because I'm an RA plus other school-related obligations, and I'm also not natively from Oklahoma. Help organizing or ideas for places to meet would be awesome, and we'll try to set up varying locations so people don't always have to travel long distances for an event.
I know there are tons of fans out there, I've met quite a few just on campus(and there are bound to be more on other campuses). If you're interested we can start events as early as August, and who knows where it will go from there? If we can have a presence at RTX next year that would be amazing!

Just what it says in the title. How many of you are going to RTX this year? Is it your first time? Are you going every day or just specific ones? Were you granted the privilege of being a Guardian this year?

As for me, this will be my first year going to RTX, and I'm going as a Guardian :D. I'm really excited to go, looking forward to both the event and staying in Austin(my brother goes to UT and I've visited him a few times). I've loved Austin every time I've been there, especially all the great food there. Can't wait!

Today, I was given the chance to visit the RT office. After messaging some people THAT day, they got back to me and arranged for me to have a full office(both buildings) tour and to meet Burnie, Barb, Gavin, Geoff, Michael, Lindsey, Jack, Chris, Brandon, and Brian. The fact that they gave me a tour at all was amazing enough, but throughout the entire thing everyone so was nice and welcoming and cool, it made it that much more awesome. I can't thank everyone at RT enough for giving me the chance to do this, especially Barbara who set us up and gave us the tour. Forget what Jack says, Canada rocks! I can't wait for RTX this year, and thanks to everyone again for making a fan's day unforgettable.

So I live in Central New York, at a high school called Fayetteville-Manlius. I'm a senior and we have our graduation in exactly 2 weeks, and just a little over a week ago my friend came to me talking about trying to get the kids who are entering the military recognized at graduation. This came mostly because one of our friends is entering the Marines after graduation and we realized that he and all the other kids who are serving get nothing from our community. We have a special edition of the school newspaper that tells where all the kids are going to college; but there isn't any option for the military. We have "College Apparel Day" once again, no option for the military(you could wear a shirt that says the branch you're entering, but it's not really the same). We realized that the sacrifice these kids have already committed to is going unnoticed by our school, and we wanted to change that. So we sent an email to our principal, and he expressed concern that graduation might not be the best place to do it, so we started a petition to show him how the community supports the idea of having some sort of recognition for these kids, a chance to say thank you. We then met with him to present our petition and he said that he would try to get it in, but with the time crunch and it being such an easy thing to mess up and have the public hate the school, he wasn't sure that it would be possible. Now we're hoping for a yes in time and our principal is busting his ass to make this happen, talking to people and trying to work out how it might happen and if it can. If this happens, I'll get a chance with our whole class to say thank you to my classmates, my friends who are sacrificing so much for us. I hope it will happen, but I know that after college I'll come back to finish the fight if need be, and to make sure that those who put their lives on the line for us won't pass on unnoticed.

Hey, so I'll be in Austin for a day and I'm wondering who I would get in contact with to ask about an office visit? I sent a message to Barbara but she hasn't yet responded, so I'm thinking I might want to email someone about it. If anyone could help me out that'd be great.

Today, a great kid named Matt Murphy died of cancer. He had been battling it for 5 year and was in and out of hospitals the whole time. But despite hardships that he had faced all his life, he always had a smile on his face that was just infectious. He was one of the greatest people I know, and the world is worse off without him. He wanted to be a newscaster for espn, but sadly his dream was never realized. I pray for his family as they struggle with the loss of a son and brother, but most importantly, an angel. For anyone who sees this journal, I ask that you pray for the Murphy family, or wear yellow in his honor.

For all my yelling and screaming at the tv, saying how you need to work harder and just get the fuck better; you pulled it off. A nail biter against wake forest is EXACTLY what this SU team needs to get started. And as the great coach Schafer told us, FUCK SHIT UP BOYS!

So last night I was watching AHWU like I do every week, and I saw the part where Geoff got really excited about the "bleep bloop" achievable(I loved it too, I had to pause the video because I was laughing for around 90 seconds). The next morning, I went to school and told two of my best friends who also like RvB. After we were done laughing the first time, we start just saying "bleep bloop" over and over again because we're immature children(yes, children can be aware of their immaturity, we just don't care). One of the hall monitors saw that we were having fun, and decided to put a stop to it. She came right up to us and started yelling at us for... well I don't know because I didn't listen to what she said. Anyways, the kicker is that two guys walked right past us and one shouted "FUCKER!" right behind the hall monitor. She didn't do anything about that, at all, whatsoever. And my friends and I never get into real trouble like I know the guys who passed us have(a few arrests for drinking and pot, to solve all their "problems"). Why they don't care about the real jackasses in our school, or what THEY do, I haven't the slightest clue.
