Now that I'm a sponsor again I just checked my stats... 171 people watch me now.. what the frack? Uh, hi I guess? How is everyone? Good, good..

Oh, so I'm getting a promotion at work, which is pretty cool. To celebrate, @thijs is hosting a party on skype this weekend, so if you wanna join us for some good old fashion skype shenanigans, hop on and join us.

      P.S. Every day I'm doppalin...

    • Hi

So I'm looking at cosplaying as Yang from RWBY for Supanova this year. In part as a tribute to Monty and also just so I have another creative outlet. I had a lot of fun with my Assassins Creed cosplay last year.

Also, I finally got around to watching RWBY and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the music, the animation, the characters, the story and of course the little RT related references. People like grapes.

If you're hesitant to watch it, I recommend just giving it a go, you may even like it.

    • Sponsor..

So I just noticed that some nice anonymous person gifted me a sponsorship.. thankyou for that. It's just another example of the great community we have here.

Today we mourn but soon we will celebrate the life of the man that was.

Rest in peace Monty. My heart goes out to his closest family and friends, I can't imagine what you all must be feeling when I myself did not know him personally and yet I am saddened by this loss.

I really want to get back to being more active on here...

In three weeks I will be attending Supanova in Sydney. I'll be there the whole weekend, and I must say, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm sticking around for a couple days after to hang out with @smokey which is even better. Oh and my Assassins Creed costume is coming along.. I'll have no problems finishing it, it's the props that may or may not exist. I'll see how I go. Anyone have any tips for making your own costumes? I need to do some alterations so it's easier to put on and maneuver in.. no point being an assassin if you can't bend over.

To anyone reading this.. how are you?

I just found out there will be a cruise around Sydney harbour on the day of my birthday after Supanova with Michael and Lindsay as special guests! And it will have unlimited booze!

    • Holy Jesus..

5 months since my last entry???

I came here to say I'm attending Supanova again this year in Sydney. I'm planning to dress as Altair from Assassins Creed. I know the idea is a bit overdone but hey the convention is on my birthday so I'll do what I want :p who else is attending? And how is everyone going?? I try to keep up with people on Facebook but I don't have everyone on there.

Hey! Happy to see a fellow woman scientist on the site! A bunch of other scientists and myself are in a group called Scientists of RT (for which I've just invited you to). We actually just had a good discussion about PrPsc and malignant neoplasms as a method of turning people who eat people crazy (topic of discussion from a recent How To with Joel and Adam) that I'd still like your input on! We'll be tweeting on the podcast too, hopefully validating or refuting science claims. smiley1.gif

Yeah we knew the problems we were facing and didn't have a choice as the rest of the state already had it. Other than the downtimes it's not such a bad program, once you learn how to use it properly.

We haven't switched yet. We are currently using a DOS based system called Meditech.

Related Video Series to what I was going on about the (in a somewhat intoxicated state) the other night.

I hadn't come across this series until today, but it does help define what I've been trying to delve into on an atomic level. The funny thing is, I wasn't looking for anything on this topic, I just happened to stumble upon it. Just like I happened to stumble upon that book I found at a trade show a few weeks back that I've been casually reading (Nuclear and Radiochemistry).

I don't know how long the series is (I'm up to #9, and I know there are at least 15) but I am rather enjoying the person's delivery of the subject of Cold Fusion and Super Conductivity and Quantum Physics.

      Now, back to the lessons.
