I've been thinking recently if my free time is best spent improving my Gamerscore and/or completion %. What will it get me? Just a new virtual number that may be lost if M$ doesn't last like Sega (Onlive might kill Sony and M$ in the long run, it is revolutionary new approach to gaming). I do enjoy gaming but I've found that I won't even play some games if there are very extensive multiplayer achievements, and there are games I'd like to play but they would have some 'chevies that I'd never focus long enough to get (Bad Company2, Ghostbusters, COD3). Even though I love gaming I do hit those times that I get so mad that I throw my controller and just want to smash that disc (if it wasn't gamefly). Is gaming in general a big waste of large chunks of my life? Seriously Mass Effect needs 3 play through to get the 100% and each play hits at least 30 hours!!! Thats over 3 full days of my LIFE!!!! I feel guilty and selfish for wasting that kind of time, but no matter I still find my self drawn in my free time to what I'll play next or what is coming out soon. Is it the characters that are so fascinating, or just the stories, or that fantasy I miss in my seemily scripted life?
Oh well, at least they are goals, and as long as I find time for my family, friends, and getting my MBA does it actually do any harm? Just wanted to vent; been drinking so I may have rambled.
